# ReNu Life - Brain Injury Recovery Services
ReNu Life stands as one of North Carolina's largest specialized providers of brain injury recovery services, with a distinguished history spanning since its incorporation in 1998. Founded by parents of a brain injury survivor, the clinic was established with a deep commitment to serving an underserved population through cost-effective, outcome-driven programming. The clinic's singular focus on brain injury survivors allows it to concentrate its expertise and resources entirely on this specialized population, delivering comprehensive rehabilitation and residential services designed to maximize functional recovery and quality of life.
The clinic operates through two primary service models: a Community Housing Program and a Community Integration Program (CIP). The Community Housing program provides structured group home environments owned and maintained by ReNu Life, where residents work toward independence while residing in safe, respectful settings tailored to individual goals. The Community Integration Program, delivered at ReNu Life's dedicated TBI Rehab Center, brings residents together to develop and exercise social, vocational, and personal skills through a collaborative activities program encompassing educational, cultural, wellness, leisure, and spiritual opportunities decided collectively by residents.
ReNu Life's commitment to quality care is evidenced by its CARF accreditation in Behavioral Health Residential Treatment, Community Housing, and Community Integration. The clinic maintains a mission-driven approach to assist brain injury survivors in attaining maximum functioning levels while emphasizing quality of life in the most normal and least restrictive environments possible. All ReNu Life locations maintain smoke-free residential policies and provide equitable, respectful, and culturally responsive care that addresses diverse health beliefs, preferred languages, and individual communication needs.
